Lucy School Teacher Training Center

The Teacher Training Center (TTC) at Lucy School is a hub for professional learning, creative renewal, and classroom transformation. Located on our beautiful 17-acre farm campus in Frederick County, Maryland, the TTC offers immersive training programs for early childhood and elementary educators—grounded in arts integration, nature-based learning, and the developmental needs of children.

Whether you’re a classroom teacher, administrator, arts educator, or caregiver, our programs are designed to help you reimagine what’s possible in your work with children—and reconnect with the joy of teaching.

Our Mission

To prepare, inspire, and support educators by teaching and modeling research-based, arts-integrated, and nature-based teaching that honors the whole child. We believe play, imagination, and creativity are powerful tools for learning—and that teachers, like children, thrive in environments that nurture curiosity, reflection, and growth.
